Travelled to Altrincham for a match we should have won easily. Although we did win, both John and I lost games that we had won - me with a blunder, John in the time scramble at the end. This made the match an uncomfortably close 3.5-2.5 win for us.

Last Game of the Match

My consolation for the evening (no, there is no consolation for losing a chess game) is one of my best photographs of people that I have ever taken - in my opinion. What do you think?

Entertained East Cheshire in the Stockport League last Thursday (December 15th) and trounced them 4.5 - 0.5. I had a hard tussle with J. Reed and forgot all about my camera until after the game, when all I could think of doing was photographing the piquant final position, where I am about to deliver mate by Kg8.
